Ai: Youtube is failing us with AI slop and cashing in big time
Objective:
A growing body of research suggests that automated, low-effort videos now account for a substantial share of what users encounter on YouTube, particularly in Shorts. These clips often rely on synthetic voices, recycled visuals, and formulaic scripts that can be produced at scale with minimal human involvement. While they may look innocuous in isolation, their collective presence is reshaping how discovery works on the platform.

Why it flops: Youtube better get a hold of this, pretty soon it’ll grow into a monster they won’t be able to control. AI slop is getting worse; the numbers don’t lie and it’s pervasive all over the world. I say give it time, people will get tired of this, I hope this is just a fad, a very bad one like bell-bottom jeans.
